Arsenal legend Thierry Henry was a surprise guest at Manchester United’s training ground on Wednesday.
United strike sensation Marcus Rashford posted a photo of him with Henry on his Instagram page, taken at Carrington.
Henry was recently doing his coaching badges with Arsenal, training the under-18 strikers, before manager Arsene Wenger told him he could not continue, if he wanted to carry on with his role as a pundit for SkySports.
The purpose of Henry’s visit to United’s training base is unclear – although, to speculate, it would be typical of manager Jose Mourinho to try and get one over on rival Arsene Wenger, by offering Henry a role.
For a young striker like Rashford, and Anthony Martial – dubbed the ‘next Henry’ in France – learning from the former Premier League star would be huge.
Henry was linked with working at Watford and West Ham by The Express back in June, with it reported he is keen to continue doing his coaching badges at another Premier League club.
