Leeds United have released their latest batch of training-ground pictures from Thorp Arch.

And one definitely stands out!

The Elland Road outfit are only two points clear of the relegation zone as we enter the Jesse Marsch era in West Yorkshire, following Marcelo Bielsa’s unfortunate departure last weekend.

Leeds have undeniably missed Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper for chunks of this season.

But you could argue that the biggest miss of all has been Patrick Bamford.

The 28-year-old has only managed 459 minutes of Premier League football this season due to injury – and hasn’t kicked a ball since December.

Considering he netted 17 times on Leeds’ return to the top flight last season, you could argue that he’s been a massive miss for the Whites.

However, Bamford was photographed in Marsch’s training session this afternoon and virtually every United supporter will have been waiting to see their talisman back in the swing of things at Thorp Arch.

Here’s a photo of the former Middlesbrough striker in training:

Will Bamford keep Leeds in the Premier League?

Well there’s often a honeymoon period when new managers take over, a time of which results improve dramatically.

So that factor, combined with Bamford’s return to regular football, could certainly help Leeds survive this relegation battle.

With Bamford starting every week, the Whites finished ninth in the Premier League last season.

That’s the sort of influence a reliable goalscorer can have and hopefully for Marsch, he’ll have what Bielsa didn’t for most of this season – and fully-fit Bamford.
