Leeds hosted Huddersfield on Saturday afternoon and things looked good for a short while…
Leeds United fans had one moment to cherish on Saturday afternoon – when Stuart Dallas put them ahead against Huddersfield Town at Elland Road.
After that, it all went wrong.
Indeed, David Wagner’s post-match celebrations summed up the fact Huddersfield took a big step towards consolidating their place in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Huddersfield are now just two points behind Leeds, who had previously won three games in a row in the league.
But the fact Dallas opened the scoring for United made their 4-1 defeat all the more bizarre. The visitors were good – but Leeds were absolutely woeful in defence.
Fans have, predictably, expressed their anger in the wake of such a big home loss. What does it say of Steve Evans’ future at Leeds – and what of several of their players?
Next up for Leeds is another Yorkshire derby, against Rotherham United and former manager Neil Warnock.
