Harvey White is training with the Tottenham Hotspur first team as he pushes for a Premier League debut under Jose Mourinho, according to Football London.

While the former Manchester United and Chelsea boss isn’t famed for throwing unproven youngsters in at the deep end, the rapid rise of Japhet Tanganga is proof Mourinho is willing to hand opportunities to those who deserve it.

And White, a 19-year-old yet to make his senior debut, will use Tanganga as inspiration as he continues to catch the eye behind the scenes.

The Maidstone-born teenager, who can play in midfield or at full-back, has been pitting his wits against the likes of Gareth Bale, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min at Spurs’ training ground, pictured in action by Football London.

Combative, energetic and adaptable, White’s ability and attitude have earned him plenty of admirers in recent years.

His stand-out performances for the club’s U23 side this season, not to mention an all-action display against Manchester United in the International Champions Cup last year, have only enhanced his burgeoning reputation.

Now, with Tottenham’s fixture schedule bordering on cruel, don’t be surprised if White is sharing the turf with Toby Alderweireld and co in the near future.
