Liverpool finally announced their deal for young goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga in October.

After months of speculation, the 17-year-old officially joined Jurgen Klopp’s side from Fluminense last month.

Despite joining with first-team training on a couple of occasions early on, there hasn’t been much sign of Pitaluga since then.

But he was among the players at Liverpool’s new AXA Training Centre on Tuesday – and he looks to be a big unit already.

Pitaluga, who only turns 18 next month, stands at 6’3 and may even grow taller yet.

Here is some snaps of the youngster in training:

Liverpool fans were desperate to see him involved in Klopp’s senior side immediately after joining.

This wasn’t so much a glowing reference for Pitaluga as it was a pretty damning indictment for Adrian, who has incurred the wrath of the Reds’ faithful quite often in 2020.

Alisson – whose brother played with Pitaluga at Fluminense – was originally injured when the youngster came in last month, but the Brazil international is fit again.

At 17, Pitaluga was signed as one for the future, so there’s no chance of him playing for Klopp’s senior side this season.
