Manchester United have agreed a deal for the talented Dutch midfielder.
New Manchester United signing Tahith Chong has been photographed wearing the club’s training kit while he travels with some of his young teammates.
The image – of Chong along with fellow United prospects DJ Buffonge and Kanye Roberts – has been posted on Twitter and shows the Dutch teenager getting to know the players he will be growing up alongside in the years ahead.
Chong’s signing went under the radar somewhat given the big-name arrivals of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly this summer, but at just 16 he is very much one for the future.
Formerly on the books at Feyenoord, he comes with a reputation similar to that of Timothy Fosu-Mensah when he signed for United from Ajax two years ago.
At the time the defender-cum-midfielder was rated as one of the brightest young prospects in the Netherlands and he has since lived up to the hype.
The question is: In time can Chong do the same?
