Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers signed Steven Davis again on Sunday.

Some of the first images of Steven Davis wearing Rangers attire have surfaced online.

The 34-year-old, who re-signed for Rangers on a six-month loan deal from Southampton on Sunday, flew out to Tenerife to join up with Steven Gerrard’s winter training camp.

Davis made more than 200 appearances for the Gers during a previous four-year stint at Ibrox, which ended in 2012.

He won eight major titles with the Scottish giants – including three Premiership titles – and according to a tweet from Sky Sports News reporter Keith Downie, the Northern Ireland international received a round of applause at the beginning of his first training session.

Gerrard’s side visit Cowdenbeath in a Scottish Cup clash on January 18 and Davis – along with Jermain Defoe perhaps – will be keen to make his debut then.

He turned 34 last week, but there is plenty of life in the old dog yet and despite his advancing years, Davis can and probably will still be a big asset for title-chasing Rangers during the second half of the campaign.
