Snodgrass’ future was a doubt at West Ham following his loan with Aston Villa.
Robert Snodgrass has posted a picture on Instagram after returning to West Ham United training for pre-season following his loan with Aston Villa – describing himself and three other Hammers teammates as “The Inbetweeners”.
Snodgrass, 30, was loaned to Championship side Villa last summer for the entire 2017-18 campaign after struggling at West Ham following his move from Hull in January 2017. He failed to score and laid on just two assists in 15 games.
However, the Scotland international’s form at Villa under Steve Bruce was nothing short of magnificent, spearheading the club’s push to the Championship play-off final with eight goals and 13 assists in 43 games.

But a permanent move to Steve Bruce’s side seems a long-gone possibility as Snodgrass posted a picture of himself, Mark Noble, Andy Carroll and Aaron Cresswell on the Hammers’ pre-season camp in Switzerland.
Snodgrass could well be hoping that he has another chance to show what he is capable of at the London Stadium ahead of the upcoming 2018-19 campaign, under new manager Manuel Pellegrini.
He still has two years to run on the three-and-a-half-year deal he signed 18 months ago, but if the Hammers do indeed push through a move for long-term target Felipe Anderson, he could find first-team chances few and far between.
