Veretout looks to be on his way out of Aston Villa for good.
Aston Villa’s Jordan Veretout is currently undergoing a medical at Fiorentina, the Italian side confirmed via their official Twitter account.
Veretout spent the whole of last term on loan to Saint Etienne, but returned to take part in the Villans’ pre-season campaign.

A return to the Ligue 1 side had been anticipated, however, Villa owner Tony Xia last week revealed that other clubs had offered more money.
And it would appear as though Veretout is now bound for Fiorentina – who finished eighth in Serie A last season – where he would reunite with former Villa midfielder Carlos Sanchez.
“Medical examinations ongoing”, read a post from the Italian side on Tuesday morning, which accompanied a photograph of the player giving the thumbs-up.
Veretout cost Villa £8.5 million two years ago [Transfermarkt], and played 25 league games in his debut campaign as the Villans dropped into the Championship.

The 24-year-old could replace Matias Vecino in Florence, after the Uruguayan was strongly linked with a move to Inter Milan.
