Rangers are looking to bring new signings to Ibrox in January.

Rangers aren’t in action until they take on Hamilton Academical on Sunday afternoon, but manager Steven Gerrard has spotted taking in football elsewhere.
The Gers boss – as pictured by the Daily Record – was at Tynecastle on Tuesday night, as he travelled to watch Scotland Under-21’s take on their English counterparts.
Gerrard was accompanied by assistant manager Gary McAllister and director of football Mark Allen – and the presence of the latter suggested this may have been a transfer scouting mission.
Had Gerrard gone on his own or just with McAllister, it could have merely been watching a nearby game, or keeping tabs on Rangers talents Ross McCrorie and Glenn Middleton, who featured for Scotland.
However, having Allen alongside him dropped a hint that this was transfer business, eyeing up potential Rangers transfer targets for 2019, especially with the January transfer window around the corner.
So who could Gerrard and Allen have been watching? Summer target Jake Clarke-Salter was in action, but the Chelsea defender is on loan at Vitesse until next summer, and that may just suggest one player was on their radar.

Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke joined Tammy Abraham in attack, and having been linked with Rangers over the summer, Gerrard could just call in another favour from his former club in January having already brought in Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Kent.
Solanke hasn’t played a single minute of club football this season, so seeing him in international action may have given Gerrard the chance to see the 21-year-old striker in action ahead of a possible move.
Solanke needs playing time, and Rangers could give him that having already helped Ejaria and Kent thrive this season, with Tuesday’s display – albeit goalless – potentially tempting Rangers into a move, with the forward the most clear potential target for Gerrard off the back of his visit to Tynecastle.
