Rotherham United star Greg Halford has exonerated Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips for his challenge in the game between the two sides yesterday.
The utility man limped out of action early in the game after suffering a nasty looking ankle injury against Leeds at the New York Stadium.

The young Leeds star went into a tough tackle with Halford in the first-half of the game but the crunching challenge saw the 20-year-old catch Halford on the ankle and he was subbed off.
He then went for an X-ray on the injury with fears mounting he may have suffered a break to the joint.

However, he confirmed last night on Twitter that he was fine but also made it clear that he did not blame the Leeds United player for the injury, saying it was a fair challenge.

Phillips is certainly not one to shirk away from a tough challenge and the Leeds midfielder is certainly a player who does not mind the physical side of the game.
Halford is much the same and it is good to see the Millers star letting the Leeds youngster know that he was not too blame for the injury which, thankfully, is not serious.
