Leeds United have agreed a new deal with the teenage midfielder.

As confirmed on the club’s official Twitter account, teenage midfielder Ronaldo Vieira has signed a new three-year deal at Leeds United.

It has been a meteoric rise for the 18-year-old, who has gone from trialist to first-team regular in no time at all.

Vieira has already featured six times for Leeds this season, with manager Garry Monk clearly rating the player very highly.

He has stepped into the hole left by Lewis Cook, who moved to Bournemouth earlier this summer, and while it will take him time to have the same sort of influence he has certainly shown he has the innate talent to succeed at Elland Road for the long haul.

Leeds usually give their young players one- or two-year contracts so the fact that Vieira has signed on for the next three years shows just how highly they rate him at the club.

Now it is up to the teenager to help the Whites climb up the Championship table this season after a disappointing start to Monk’s tenure.

As if that was not enough, Vieira’s twin brother Romario has agreed a deal of his own, joining Leeds’ development squad on a one-year deal.

It remains to be seen if Romario is as good as his brother, but he will certainly be hoping to live up to the famous name!
