The Irish goalie has been out of action since March.
Newcastle United goalkeeper Rob Elliot is working hard to get back into first-team action and has now been pictured back in action for the club.
The Irish international goalkeeper suffered a serious knee injury at the end of March whilst on international duty with Martin O’Neill’s side.

But he is, as expected, stepping up his recovery in October. Now his glove manufacturers the One Glove Company have tweeted this photo of Elliot back in Newcastle United training:
Elliot had a decent campaign last season after stepping in after Tim Krul, the club’s regular first-choice, suffered a similar knee injury on international duty with the Netherlands.

He looked like Newcastle’s best player for much of the season but after his injury Karl Darlow stepped in with aplomb and Newcastle have also signed Belgian talent Matz Sels this summer.
Elliot is therefore set to face something of a battle to get his first-team spot at Newcastle United back once he is fully fit again.

However, the experienced stopper will no doubt be pleased to be on the comeback trail. Given his performances last season, he will also be confident he can claim back the number one spot.
