Billy Gilmour has completed his move from Glasgow Rangers to Chelsea.
Billy Gilmour has confirmed he has finally completed his long awaited transfer to Chelsea.
The Scotland youth international is just 15 yet was one of the most wanted players in British football.
Gilmour’s performances for Rangers’ under-20 side attracted huge attention, and Chelsea agreed a deal for his signature in May.
The move has finally gone through, with Gilmour signing terms with the Blues yesterday, leaving Rangers behind.
Rangers made extensive efforts to try and keep the young attacker, but without success.
Breaking into the Chelsea first team will be tough, but Gilmour has joined a side who have been prolific at youth level in recent seasons, winning multiple FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League trophies.
He has every chance of becoming a success, but if it does not work out for him, he at least will be able to look back without regrets and say he did not shy away from the huge opportunity.
