Rangers have completed the signing of winger Eros Grezda after sorting out the Albania international’s work permit issues, making him the club’s 14th signing of the summer.

Grezda, 23, joins on a four-year deal from NK Osijek, who Rangers beat in the second round of Europa League qualifying before facing Slovenian side Maribor and Russian outfit FC Ufa.

Gerrard wanted to sign a new winger after Jamie Murphy was ruled out for the entire 2018-19 campaign with a long-term knee injury, picked up during the Gers’ 3-1 win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Rangers confirmed the signing of Grezda by posting pictures of the winger on their official Twitter account that sees the attacker draped in the the Gers’ red, white and blue scarf, and on the Ibrox pitch. He has signed a four-year deal at Ibrox.

Grezda rejoins former Osijek teammate Borna Barisic, who played at Ibrox against Rangers earlier this month which saw Nikola Katic score for Rangers in a 1-1 draw.

The Scottish Sun claim the six-time Albania international has joined for a fee believed to be £1.8million, after Gerrard’s side matched his release clause. Last season, Grezda scored eight goals in 37 games from the flanks.

Grezda becomes the club’s 14th summer signing after Allan McGregor, Jon Flanagan, Connor Goldson, Katic, Barisic, Joe Worrall, Ovie Ejaria, Lassana Coulibaly, Ryan Kent, Murphy, Umar Sadiq, Kyle Lafferty and Scott Arfield.
