It looks like Rangers’ interest in Juan Alegria might well be genuine.
In fact, Steven Gerrard confirmed an interest in the young South American in recent weeks and The Daily Record reported this week that the Gers would likely push a deal through to sign him.
Alegria has been compared to Rangers hitman Alfredo Morelos for the fact he is a Colombian attacker who is making his name in Finnish football.
And is the FC Janko forward bound for Glasgow? He might be.
Alegria posted a photo this afternoon, uploading his bleak-looking view from a hotel in Amsterdam.
And according to The Daily Record, it’s unlikely that Alegria would be staying there if not for transfer-related reasons, given that he is also right beside the airport.
Rangers, who have a 19-point lead in the Scottish Premiership, will be linked to a lot of players over the coming weeks, you’d imagine.
But Gerrard’s confirmation that Alegria is a target, combined with the player’s social media activity, suggests this one has real legs.
