Rangers striker is hoping to get another chance at Ibrox.

Glasgow Rangers forward Umar Sadiq will be hoping for a place on the team’s bench this weekend despite his struggles so far this season.

Sadiq has failed to impress since his loan move from AS Roma and manager Steven Gerrard has made clear the Rangers signing has a lot of work to do.

He was pictured in training yesterday alongside Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty, who is fit again after injury.

Sadiq was displaying a new eye catching haircut, perhaps designed at catching Steven Gerrard’s eye.

With Lafferty and Alfredo Morelos available, Morelos faces a battle just to get on the bench this weekend.

Ryan Kent remains out with injury, removing one attacking option for the Gers, and Serge Atakayi is also out injured.

Much will depend on whether Sadiq has managed to impress Steven Gerrard and his staff over the past fortnight.

At least he still has a smile on his face despite his Ibrox struggles.
