Glasgow Rangers defender shows off battle scars from win over Partick Thistle.
Rangers secured a dramatic late win over Partick Thistle last night to progress to the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup.
The Gers had to battle hard against a team which held them to a 2-2 draw in the league just days earlier, and ran out 3-1 winners.
Defender Fabio Cardoso left the game with more to show than just three points, requiring stitches in his chin after a clash during the game.
Cardoso also praised young talent Ross McCrorie, who was called into the side by manager Pedro Caixinha and made a positive impact.
It was an ideal confidence booster for Rangers heading into the weekend’s match with Celtic, but also a little frustrating that they could not have also secured a win at the weekend.
Rangers will have to hope the win did not take too much out of them heading into the Celtic match, but Cardoso’s knock is unlikely to keep him out of action.
