Herrera has left Rangers on loan again to join Club Necaxa.

Eduardo Herrera has posted on Instagram after the Rangers striker has joined Club Necaxa on loan, after his temporary spell with Santos Laguna came to an end.
The 30-year-old target man saw his loan spell at Santos Laguna cancelled this month after managing just 10 appearances in all competitions. Indeed, Rangers were in danger of seeing him return to Ibrox.
But that has been quickly put to bed with the nine-time Mexico international remaining in his home country by joining another Liga MX side in the form of Club Necaxa.
Herrera, who played for Club Necaxa as a child, posted a picture on Instagram of himself in the red and white stripes of his new side and another in training – as he embarks on a second loan from the Gers.
Signed by Pedro Caixinha in the summer of 2017 for a whopping £1.5million (Record) from Pumas UNAM, Herrera started the 2017-18 campaign as the Gers main striker.
But it quickly became apparent that he was not suited to the fast-paced football of the Scottish Premiership, and Alfredo Morelos came in for him. He clocked up 24 appearances for the Gers, but managed just two goals.
Herrera still has 18 months remaining on the three-year deal he signed in 2017, which may mean Rangers will have to deal with his future in the summer once again.
