Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox Glasgow Rangers have lost in the Europa League this evening, despite Gers goalkeeper Allan McGregor playing well.

Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor has been a consistent figure in Steven Gerrard’s starting lineup, and the Ibrox goalkeeper has been one of the best players for the Gers so far this season.
McGregor consistently makes important saves between the Rangers posts, and there have been occasions when the Scotland international goalkeeper has kept the Ibrox side in games.
On Thursday evening, the 36-year-old Scotland international was in action for Rangers against Spartak Moscow away from home in the Europa League Group G.
The former Hull City goalkeeper made a number of superb saves over the course of the 90 minutes, but McGregor still ended up on the losing side.

Rangers suffered a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Spartak at Stadion Spartak in Moscow despite being 3-2 up at half time.
The following photo of McGregor – who returned to Rangers in the summer transfer window for his second spell at Ibrox – shows just how devastated he was during the match which the Gers should have won given their lead in the first half.
