The Swiss international never won over the fans at the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest go into the final game of the Championship season with relegation fears looming. They are only out of the bottom three on goal difference and face a battle with Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham City for survival.

The club have failed to improve under Mark Warburton, since he took over from Philippe Montanier’s spell at the City Ground.

One player who will not be used by Warburton for the final game is Swiss international midfielder Pajtim Kasami.

The former Fulham midfielder has not been used once by the former Rangers gaffer since he arrived at Forest and won’t be used this weekend.

The 24-year-old has posted this message on his official Facebook account, seemingly confirming he has left the club:

Kasami played 27 times for Forest this season but has not featured since February. Despite his talent, he failed to prove himself to the Forest fans on a regular basis and he will now be heading back to Olympiakos, where he has one final year on his contract with the Greek giants.

Forest will hope they can stave off relegation this weekend without him.
