
Victor Orta is a bonafide Leeds United legend.
Not only because he has orchestrated the recruitment which has led to the Whites winning promotion to the Premier League following a 16-year absence.
But also because the Spanish Director of Football has just taken out a pair of binoculars after Leeds’ 3-1 win away to Derby County.
This was United’s first game since being confirmed as champions of the second tier and Marcelo Bielsa’s playing and coaching staff were euphoric at the full-time whistle.
And up in the stands, Orta brandished a pair of bincoulars to rub salt into the Rams’ wounds this afternoon.
It’s a reference to the infamous ‘Spygate’ scandal which saw Leeds slapped with a £200,000 fine after Bielsa sent somebody to observe Frank Lampard’s training session last season.
