Leeds United slipped to their first home league defeat of the season on Monday night, as they lost 1-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Whites were dominant in the first half, but just couldn’t find the all-important opening goal – and were made to pay for it in the second half.
Raul Jimenez’s strike deflected into the net via Kalvin Phillips, handing Wolves a 1-0 lead that they never let go in an impressive display.
Wolves coped well with Marcelo Bielsa’s side well, especially in the second half, and Leeds now need to bounce back against Aston Villa this weekend.
After the full time whistle, Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo was seen consoling Leeds striker Rodrigo as he looked disappointed with the defeat.
The pair go back some way; Nuno managed Valencia when Rodrigo joined the Spanish side in 2014, and the striker played 44 times under the current Wolves boss.
He notched five goals and five assists in his time under Nuno, and the Wolves boss made sure to go over and speak to his former striker having just beaten his Leeds side.
