Arsenal and Tottenham have been battling to sign Lemar all summer.
Monaco v Stoke – Pre Season Friendly
Premier League transfer target Thomas Lemar was back in action for Monaco at the weekend as he helped his side to a win over Stoke City.
The France international is interesting both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, French newspaper L’Equipe report – but Monaco are determined not to sell.
Lemar was particularly impressive in the early stages, hitting the crossbar and winning a penalty after he was fouled by Stoke’s Glen Johnson.
Monaco won 4-2 against Mark Hughes’ side, with Fabinho, Allan Saint-Maximin, Radamel Falcao and Kylian Mbappe the goalscorers.
Stoke’s goals were netted by Saido Berahino and Mame Biram Diouf.
Mbappe himself has been frequently linked with a move to Arsenal and Real Madrid – report The Mirror, and just to get to pre-season with him still involved is a big victory for the Ligue 1 champions.
