The Derby County winger has been ruled out for up to six weeks with knee damage.
Derby County were recently dealt an injury blow with the news that winger Nick Blackman was set for a spell on the sidelines.
He has suffered damage to his knee that has required surgery and is expected to miss the next six weeks of action for the Rams.
Derby’s Nick Blackman (2nd L) celebrates after he scores their second goal from the penalty spot
The player will of course be devastated by the blow, as he looks to impose himself on the first-team under his new manager Steve McClaren.
Now the 26-year-old has taken to Twitter to give an update on his current condition following the surgery.
He highlighted his motivation to get back in action as soon as possible with this post:
Blackman has struggled to have an impact at Derby since his move from Championship rivals Reading last season and has therefore been struggle to feature in the Derby first-team on a regular basis.
But he is still a skilled asset at this level of the game and Derby County boss McClaren would have liked to have him available for the weeks to come.
Hopefully he can make a full recovery and return to action as soon as possible.
