Newcastle United snapped up Miguel Almiron last week.

Newcastle United fans have been hugely excited since the club signed Miguel Almiron on Thursday – and they can get even more excited tonight.
The Magpies made Almiron their second deadline day signing on Thursday, with the Paraguayan joining Monaco left back Antonio Barreca at St James’ Park.
Almiron was the signing Newcastle fans have been waiting for; an exciting playmaker to transform Rafael Benitez’s side and a signal of intent in the transfer market.
Newcastle shattered their club-record fee to sign Almiron, having seen him hit 13 goals and 13 assists for Atlanta United last season, helping them win the MLS Cup.
Almiron’s pace, deadly left foot and real creativity should be major assets to Newcastle in the number 10 role in Benitez’s Newcastle side, and fans are waiting for his debut.
Whilst Barreca was on the bench against Tottenham on Saturday, Almiron wasn’t able to be a substitute himself as he waited for a visa to play in England.

Today, Almiron’s agent Daniel Campos has posted a photo of himself alongside the playmaker, confirming that the visa process has been completed in Paris today.
That means that Almiron is now free to start training with his Newcastle teammates on Wednesday, with today’s news clearing a major hurdle as Almiron looks to make his debut against Wolves on Monday.
