The Milan loanee will be hoping to make a big impression during his time at Vicarage Road.
New Watford signing M’Baye Niang has been pictured in the gold and black of his new team after he took part in Hornets training for the first time, following his move from AC Milan.
The French talent has arrived on loan from the European giants with an option to make the switch permanent in the summer. The Guardian suggest a fee of £13.5 million will secure the forward on a long term deal, and that the transfer will be triggered automatically if Niang plays a certain number of games for Watford between now and the end of the season.
The 22-year-old joins a Watford side with significant links to Serie A, with the Pozzo Family raiding Italy for manager Walter Mazzarri and a number of players since they took over at Vicarage Road in 2012.
Niang emerged as a hugely talented teenager for Caens in Ligue 1 in 2011, breaking their record as youngest ever debutant at just 16-years-old. Only a couple of years later, and he was snapped up by Milan as one of the most exciting youngsters in world football.
The attacker’s time in Italy has been a mixed bag, but he is still young enough to become a star, and Niang had featured regularly for a Milan team who are challenging for a top four position, with 18 appearances, three goals and three assists.
Watford’s newest addition, alongside fellow Serie A arrival Mauro Zarate, will hope to make his debut during this weekend’s FA Cup London derby against Millwall.
