Georginio Wijnaldum is getting involved since signing for Liverpool from Newcastle.
Liverpool signing Georginio Wijnaldum has been introduced to his club’s fans in the USA.
The Dutchman took part in a training session at Stanford University, California, after flying out to join his new teammates on their pre-season tour.
Wijnaldum clinched his transfer from Newcastle United on Friday for £25 million, just a year after signing for the Toon from PSV Eindhoven for £14.5 million.
He netted 11 goals to finish as their top goalscorer, meaning he was always likely to attract interest and be sold with Newcastle suffering relegation.
Wijnaldum joined fellow new boys including Loris Karius and Sadio Mane in training, and could play a part in their upcoming International Champions Cup matches.
Their first game is on Thursday (28th) against Chelsea at 4.35am UK time, before they face AC Milan at 3.05pm on the Sunday (31st).
Wijnaldum will want to make a positive early impression to show he should start the Reds’ opening season game against Arsenal.
