Celtic moved another step closer to clinching the Scottish Premiership title for an eighth year in a row by beating Dundee 1-0 today.

The Bhoys travelled to Dens Park knowing that a win would all but clinch the title, after Rangers only managed a 1-1 home draw with Kilmarnock on Saturday.

Celtic were widely expected to coast past Dundee, but they struggled to hit top gear in a frustrating 90 minutes for Neil Lennon’s side.

However, with time ticking down, Odsonne Edouard popped up to score with almost the final kick of the game, turning home James Forrest’s cross.

The six minutes of added time were a little bizarre, but Celtic took full advantage with the winning goal, moving 10 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

After the final whistle, Lennon embraced Celtic defender Mikael Lustig in the celebrations as the pair appeared jubilant with another win.

Lustig showed his worth by shifting in from right back to centre back, looking solid against the Dundee attack, as he again looks to impress under Lennon as he did in Lennon’s first stint in charge.

Lustig is out of contract this summer and is wanted by AIK back in his native Sweden according to The Scottish Sun, and given his relationship with Lennon and his value as a makeshift centre back, an extended stay with Celtic isn’t out of the question.
