The chief executive of Mexican giants Chivas was welcomed by Tottenham Hotspur this week for a visit, with Mauricio Pochettino making a personal welcome.

Jose Luis Higueira paid a visit to Hotspur Way to learn more about what it takes to operate a successful football club.

Higueira posted an image onto his Twitter feed alongside Pochettino with a message discussing the successful visit.

Higueira’s message read: “Thank you Spurs and Mauricio Pochettino important to learn and understand the Premier League, more than football to be elite.”

Earlier in the week Higueira had paid a visit to Scottish Premier League side Rangers, and was pictured alongside manager Pedro Caixinha.

Caixinha previously managed in Mexico with Santos Laguna where he won the league title, and ESPN Mexico report Rangers and Chivas are set to begin a new working partnership as a result of the visit.

The visit to Tottenham appears more of an educational visit rather than about forging a formal link up, but it appears to have been a valuable one as far as Higueira is concerned.
