The attacker is set to seal a switch from AC Milan over the coming hours, although will be ineligible to feature against Manchester City tonight.
Balotelli’s transfer is thought to be costing Liverpool in the region of £16 million, a potential bargain fee for a striker of his immense talent.
At 24, Liverpool will be the fourth club of his career, having played for both Inter Milan, AC Milan and Manchester City.
