The Tottenham Hotspur teenager has a very bright future ahead of him.
Tottenham Hotspur teenager Marcus Edwards was photographed watching the team take on AS Monaco in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, shortly after playing in the UEFA Youth League against the same opponents.
The 17-year-old midfielder is widely regarded as Spurs’ most exciting product for many years and he showed glimpses of his undeniable talent when he made his first-team debut during pre-season.

He may make his first competitive start for Tottenham’s senior side this season – with the EFL Cup clash against Gillingham the ideal opportunity from the bench – but whatever the next 12 months hold it will only be a matter of time before he is turning out regularly for Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
Had Tottenham been in the Europa League this season, Edwards may have had chances as the likes of Josh Onomah and Harry Winks have before him. But with the North London club back among Europe’s elite he will have to make do with a watching brief for now.

Having won a penalty against Monaco’s under-19s on Tuesday afternoon but still suffered defeat he will surely be hoping to enjoy a better afternoon when the UEFA Youth League continues against Bayer Leverkusen and CSKA Moscow later this season.
