Tottenham Hotspur have one of the most exciting teenagers in the world on their books.
For those Tottenham Hotspur supporters desperate to see Marcus Edwards get a first-team chance it finally came this week, albeit in a friendly against Juventus on the other side of the world.
The occasion does not matter. What does is that the 17-year-old had a chance to shine alongside far more experienced teammates and against some of the best players in Europe, and he looked every inch a star in the making.

It is easy to get ahead of oneself when yet another teenage sensation arrives on the scene, but Edwards has been setting pulses racing in the Tottenham academy for years and he is both their crown jewel and their worst kept secret.
He may have only got a brief run-out against Juventus yet he showed in those few minutes what he is all about, and next season he will surely get some competitive minutes under his belt having recently agreed a new two-year contract.
There are flash-in-the-pans and there are real deals and Edwards is most definitely the latter.

The really exciting thing is that most people have no idea just how good this kid is and it is going to be a joy watching him develop in the weeks, months and years ahead.
Remember the date: Tuesday 26 July 2016; the day Edwards got the first of many chances at Tottenham; the day they finally unleashed a player with the ability to become a future great.
