Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata has been trying to get an edge in training for Spain, trialling technology new to football.
Mata and Bayern Munich star Javi Martinez are among the two most high profile stars ever to be pictured using Google Glass, the revolutionary glasses with wireless internet access.
Atletico Madrid assistant coach German Burgos was pictured earlier this season wearing the glasses on the bench in La Liga, feeding in live statistics of the game he was watching.
Mata used the headset to film a video of him taking shots in training against Manchester United and Spain colleague, goalkeeper David de Gea, using the glasses to take the ‘stopper off guard and help him find the net.
