Tottenham Hotspur need to get their team selection right against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup this evening.

Both teams will rotate some players, but neither can afford to play a totally weakened team, as elimination and humiliation at the hands of their rivals would be a disaster.

Two senior Tottenham players have dropped a hint they expect to start.

Moussa Sissoko posted a picture on his Instagram feed with Lucas Moura, stating they were both ‘ready’ for the big game.

Lucas was left on the bench for Tottenham’s defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League, only coming on as a late substitute.

He has an extra incentive to lead his side to a win, playing against Gunners boss Unai Emery, who ostracised him from the Paris Saint-Germain team last season.

Tottenham plan to start back-up goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga in goal, with Hugo Lloris to be rested, Football London report.
