Newcastle United have been linked with left back Loris Benito.

Newcastle United fans will be glued to news about a potential takeover right now, with Sheikh Khaled pushing to purchase the club from Mike Ashley.
That may be great news in the attempts to keep hold of manager Rafael Benitez, but there could be some transfer news to discuss too.
Earlier this month, The Sun reported that Newcastle were looking at Young Boys left back Loris Benito, having chosen not to make Antonio Barreca’s forgettable loan spell permanent.
Benito, 27, is out of contract this summer, meaning he can sign for free on a pre-contract agreement right now, potentially solving a major problem position for the Magpies.
Benito, formerly of Benfica, has good size, speed and crossing ability, whilst he comes with some decent experience and just won two league titles with Young Boys.
The Swiss international could be a bargain signing, and he took to Instagram on Monday to post a photo at an airport, hinting that he’s heading to England now.
The Sun believe this could be to finalise a move to Newcastle, which may well be true having seemingly shown the most interest in the left back of any Premier League side.
Yet with takeover discussions and Benitez’s future dominating discussion, a new signing right now would be something of a surprise, even if Benito would be a low-risk bargain signing, who would be unlikely to need Benitez’s future sorted in order to commit to a move.
