The 20-year-old picked up the injury at the start of October, with the Liverpool Echo reporting he faces two months out of action.
It was a tough blow for the Spaniard, who has not played a single minute of Premier League football this campaign, but had shown his talent with a goal in the Capital One Cup win over Middlesbrough.
This was expected to open the door for further opportunities, but it has only served to add further questions over his future at the club.
His contract expires at the end of the season, and reports in Italy have strongly indicated he is being lined up to sign a deal with AC Milan.
Suso for now has made no comment on the rumours, and is simply determined to get fit and go forward accordingly.
