Leeds United’s Jordan Botaka meets Ronaldo.
Leeds United’s Jordan Botaka applauds the fans
Leeds United winger Jordan Botaka might not have had the ideal debut season at the club, but he might have received a bit of inspiration from an unlikely source.
The 22-year-old posted a photo on his Twitter account with Brazil legend Ronaldo after meeting him this week, describing him as his all time favourite player.
Botaka made only three starts in the Championship last season after signing from Dutch side Excelsior on transfer deadline day, providing one assist.
He made 10 substitute appearances and appeared to show an improvement late into the season when he began to gain the trust of head coach Steve Evans a bit more.

Botaka is currently on international duty himself with DR Congo, with the side drawing 1-1 away to Euro 2016 qualifiers Romania on Wednesday.
Nobody is expecting Botaka to get near to Ronaldo’s level, but meeting his hero should inspire him to be more successful like his idol.
Leeds already have one Ronaldo at the club, the brilliantly named under-21 midfielder Ronaldo Vieira.
One of Ronaldo’s former 2002 World Cup winning side infamously played for Leeds for a short spell that is often best forgotten, AC Milan loanee Roque Junior.
