Alex Mowatt was the best player for Leeds United this season.
Leeds United midfielder Alex Mowatt has taken to social media to show off his Leeds United Player of the Year award.
The 20-year-old was named the Leeds United Player of the Year as well as the Player’s Player of the Year in an end-of-awards ceremony last night.
Mowatt enjoyed a superb campaign on a personal level and was one of the best midfielders in the Championship this season.
The England Under-20 international scored nine goals and created 48 chances in 38 Championship appearances, while having a pass accuracy of 82% and a shot accuracy of 51%.
The youngster has now thanked everyone who voted for him and posted the following picture on Instagram.
Leeds finished the 2014-15 Championship campaign in 15th place with 56 points from 46 matches.
It was yet another disappointing season for the Whites, who have not played in the Premier League since 2004.
Perhaps next season Leeds will finish in the playoffs…
