Leeds United talent has been training in Qatar.
Leeds United strike prospect Kun Temenuzhkov has been training this week at Qatar’s Aspire Academy.
The former Barcelona talent posted an image on his Instagram from the academy.
Leeds’ under-16 and under-18 team of which Temenuzkhkov is a part, are out in Qatar for a tournament.
The Aspire Academy are owned by Leeds United director Ivan Bravo and have a 99 per cent stake in Leeds’ partner club Cultural Leonesa.
Club owner Andrea Radrizzani was quizzed about Leeds’ links with the academy last month and played them down.
He told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “We can use Aspire to send our players to play international youth tournaments, to get more experience and play against big teams.
“We have our strategy and our objective. They (Aspire) will bring eventually some exchange of know-how with our coaches and we will do the same. We will send ours there to learn and we will send our teams to play tournaments in Aspire.”
Temenuzhkov has recently been training with Bulgaria’s under-19 team on an international break.
It has been a mixed season for him flitting between the under-18s and under-23s and he is undeniably talented.
Tournaments like this upcoming one give him and his teammates opportunity and incentive to raise their games and play in new environments and continue to accelerate their development.
