Leeds United’s Marco Silvestri looks dejected
Leeds United are currently getting ready for their upcoming friendly match with Shelbourne in Ireland as the club look to begin a new era under the guidance of Garry Monk.
One position which looks like being up for grabs is that of the club’s number goalkeeper spot.

Marco Silvestri has been the club’s number one for some time but, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post this week, was sent home from Ireland to train with the under-21 side.
The club however happily shared the three current goalkeepers hard at work in Ireland on their official Twitter account earlier today:
Rob Green was snapped up on a free transfer earlier this week and the former England international will surely be considered the number one contender for the starting spot.
Ross Turnbull, who missed most of last season with an ankle fracture, was also in action as he looks to push his claim for the throne.

Meanwhile, academy product Bailey Peacock-Farrell also took part – and will undoubtedly try to learn everything he can from his two experienced team-mates.
As for Silvestri, it seems this picture helps to confirm his fate – which looks like being a Leeds United exit.
