Gaetano Berardi had a brilliant performance for Leeds United, but finished the night on crutches it seems.

Adam Clayton was named as Man of the Match in Middlesbrough’s 0-0 draw at Leeds United on Friday night.
But the award could have easily gone to Leeds defender Gaetano Berardi.
The Swiss right-back, who played centrally alongside Liam Cooper, posted an outstanding performance on a night when United stayed top of the Championship.
The no-nonsense Berardi had a fascinating duel with Boro hitman Britt Assombalonga throughout and overall produced one of his best displays for the Whites in recent memory.
But it was somewhat marred on 88 minutes after suffering an injury, before being replaced by Pontus Jansson.
West Yorkshire Sport journalist Adam Pope then posted a worrying photo of Berardi after the final whistle, in which the 30-year-old appeared to be using crutches.
And here’s how fans of the Elland Road club reacted:
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa will certainly hope that Berardi – who earns £8,000 per week in West Yorkshire [The Daily Star] – is not out for the long term, given that the Whites cannot sign a replacement unless he is already available on a free transfer, after the transfer window closed last night.
