Leeds chief signed Jordan Rhodes once before.

Leeds United’s most significant development this weekend may have occurred off the pitch.
Forget the 2-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday, after the match Leeds head of recruitment Victor Orta was spotted speaking to Owls striker Jordan Rhodes.
Orta worked with Jordan Rhodes at Middlesbrough, bringing him to the club from Blackburn Rovers.
His prolific goalscoring record stalled at Boro, but they were able to offload him to Sheffield Wednesday for £10 million.
Orta speaking to Rhodes could simply be a case of two acquaintances catching up, but a report which came out over the weekend lends weight to the theory it could be more than that.

His wages outright would be too much for Leeds, but the Whites might be able to swing a deal by paying a percentage.
Ipswich Town and Bolton were named in the report as potential suitors.
Rhodes, 28, has scored four goals in 28 games this season, 15 of which have been starts.
The Scotland international scored 85 Championship goals in a four year spell between 2012 and 2016 but his form has trailed off since.
