Leeds United youngster Alfie McCalmont was pictured working with the Northern Ireland senior squad.

Alfie McCalmont appears to have a fantastic chance of ending a brilliant season on another high with the Leeds youngster training with Northern Ireland’s senior ranks ahead of Michael O’Neill’s squad announcement later this week.
McCalmont is one of the under-23 starlets that the Elland Road faithful are most excited about after a campaign that ended in glory for Carlos Corberan’s side.
And he appears to have been rewarded for his form for the Whites’ youngsters. Northern Ireland posted a number of images on Twitter from O’Neill’s side’s training camp in Manchester, and amongst the players shown to be working with the senior side was McCalmont, with the midfielder pictured listening to the manager give a talk to his ranks…
McCalmont will be hoping that he has done enough to follow the likes of Stuart Dallas and Bailey Peacock-Farrell by earning a place in the senior squad for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers next month.

The 19-year-old will also be hoping that his progress has caught Marcelo Bielsa’s eye following the news that the Leeds boss will be sticking around for another season.
Bielsa has shown little hesitation when it comes to using the best of the under-23s during his first year at Elland Road. And McCalmont may well be one of the players that the supporters will be backing to get a chance in the first-team during the coming campaign.
