Calvin Ramsay has been sent off for Liverpool against Tottenham Hotspur at Under-21 level today.
The Scottish sensation joined the Reds from Aberdeen last summer but has found first-team opportunities hard to come by.
Since arriving at Liverpool, Ramsay has managed 90 minutes of League Cup action – against Derby County – and also a brief Champions League debut.
The 19-year-old might’ve hoped to start in the visit of Wolves in last night’s FA Cup tie, but Jurgen Klopp kept faith with Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Ramsay was one of a number of first-team squad members who played against Tottenham today, along with Curtis Jones and burgeoning talent Ben Doak – who had a cameo last night in the 2-2 draw – and both were subbed at the break in pre-planned changes.
Here’s a photo of Klopp watching on from the sidelines at Kirkby against Spurs today:

The Scot was issued a straight red card for the denial of a goalscoring opportunity, bringing down Romaine Mundle following a counter attack from the Lilywhites, according to the hosts’ official website.
Still, Klopp won’t have been overly unimpressed.
Remember, Ramsay is still only 19 and the German manager might have even recommended that he play today, just for the sake of regular football.
But with the player being such an inexperienced one still, things like this will be chalked down to growing pains.
Ramsay remains a massively-promising player at Liverpool and how he bounces back, after being sent off in front of his manager, will be interesting to see.
The game against Tottenham Under-21s finished 2-0 to the visitors.
