Newcastle United are thought to have agreed a deal to sign Kenedy on loan.

It looks like Newcastle United are close to their first January signing.
And according to Goal.com, the Brazil Under-20 star will undergo a medical on Tyneside today.
That report looks accurate as there are pictures floating around on social media of Kenedy arriving in Newcastle last night.
Signing Kenedy would be a good way for the Magpies to kick off their January business, but it can’t and hopefully won’t end there.

He is a very good player but, being a left-back, he won’t solve the problem that is really harming United this season and that is a lack of goals.
There is over a week left in the transfer window and if Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez doesn’t sign a striker then you wonder if the Kenedy transfer – if it materialises – will all have been for nothing.
Benitez’s side are 15th in the Premier League, one point above the relegation zone.
