There was also an interesting spectator for Villa, in the form of a powerhouse striker from Major League Soccer.
Kei Kamara was watching the game, as he confirmed on his own Twitter account.

The 32-year-old striker currently plays his football for New England Revolution but the Sierra Leonean also played in English football, first on loan at Norwich City before a move to Middlesbrough in 2013.
It was clearly a connection from his time at Boro that saw him taking in the fixture.
He was watching former team-mate Albert Adomah in action, as he explained on Twitter:
The MLS is currently in the off-season and Kamara was clearly just checking out his old pal in action.
Adomah is set to jet off to the African Cup of Nations in the coming weeks and his absence will be keenly felt at Villa Park.
