In the 84th minute of Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Cardiff, there was a very, very scary moment for Jürgen Klopp and Luis Diaz.
What’s the story?
Well, the Colombian impressed on his debut for Liverpool, following a £37m move from Porto in January, but it almost ended in tears.
After Diaz challenged for a header, he ended up on the ground before Aden Flint accidentally planted his studs into the South American’s knee.
He was visibly in serious pain, and hearts dropped around Anfield when it became apparent he was holding his knee.
In Klopp’s case, he looked like he’d seen a ghost.
Take a look at the picture below, in which the German looks utterly horrified while stood on the touchline.
Klopp was probably having flashbacks to last season, where one of his players seemed to suffer a serious injury every game.
Luis Diaz can become a Liverpool hero

In just 32 minutes of action, Diaz shone against Cardiff.
The 25-year-old was brave, keen to get on the ball, and was always sniffing around dangerous areas inside the box.
Diaz also showed his South American tenacity to set up Takumi Minamino for the second goal, as he opportunistically robbed Perry Ng inside the box.

It was something Anfield became accustomed to during Luis Suarez’s time at Liverpool – supporters absolutely adore that type of hunger and determination.
After the incident involving Flint, Diaz played on and looked comfortable, so we hope there is no lasting damage from that clash.
Should he remain fit and healthy, we’re pretty confident Diaz will become a cult hero at Liverpool.
