Tottenham Hotspur beat Arsenal for the second time in 2020 as they beat the Gunners 2-0 on Sunday evening.

Jose Mourinho’s side were dangerous on the counter-attack throughout, and hit Arsenal with two goals on the break.

Harry Kane set Son Heung-min away for the first, with the South Korean cutting inside before bending a perfect shot past Bernd Leno.

Before half time, Son returned the favour by teeing up Kane to make it 2-0, and Arsenal just couldn’t get back into the game.

Arsenal have now scored just twice in their last seven Premier League games, and the pressure is clearly mounting on boss Mikel Arteta.

Still, Mourinho did offer an embrace to Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka after the full-time whistle, chatting to and consoling him despite being rivals.

Mourinho praised Xhaka for helping limit Harry Kane in the second half by dropping into the defence, and went over to talk to Xhaka at the end of the game.

There appears to be some mutual respect there, but don’t get it twisted; Mourinho will be ecstatic to have handed Xhaka and Arsenal another defeat.
