Sunderland have added the defender to their squad this month.
New Sunderland signing Joleon Lescott has been photographed in training for the first time since moving to the Black Cats.
The centre-back has joined Sunderland on a short-term deal as manager David Moyes attempts to successfully avoid relegation this season.
Unsurprisingly Sunderland have found it hard to bring in the calibre of player required to ensure they climb up the table and they have instead turned to the free agent.
Lescott has plenty of Premier League experience, having turned out 286 times in the English top flight for the likes of Aston Villa, Everton, West Bromwich Albion and Manchester City.
In that time he has scored 24 goals and provided 11 assists, but his first task will be to strengthen a Sunderland defence that has been breached far too many times already this season.
With a week of the transfer window remaining, Sunderland will be hoping to add more players to their ranks, and their fans will be hoping they are more exciting than a defender deemed by many to be well past his best.
